I spent part of my afternoon out by the pond. There was some fishing that needed to be done. I've always loved to sit by the water, cast a line, and contemplate the meaning of this vast universe. After all, the boys were asleep and that's pretty much the only time I have to myself. On most days, I take a nap along with them, but today the fish were taunting me.
It is so peaceful here. The wind is blowing, the birds are chirping, frogs are doing their froggy things, and dragonflies are busy mating. The sky is the perfect shade of blue. (Also the color of my husband's eyes) The grass is so green and the air just smells fresh. With the exception of the pond water; but even that smell is welcome on days like today.
The quiet time gives my mind a rest. I can think about nothing or I can think about serious stuff. This is the time when I can forget about the dust on my computer screen. When I can forget that I seriously need to get to the grocery store. I can even forget about the fact that I need to wax my eyebrows (again). I have a really good life, don't get me wrong. It's just really nice to be able to be "thought free" for a little while.
I'm a little puzzled about why on earth my 5 year old told me he wants to die when he sees people crying. HUH? Where'd he hear that one? Five year olds don't want to die. What's up with THAT? Nevermind, I'm fishing. I'm clearing my mind. I'll pull a Scarlett and think about that tomorrow.
My 9 year old talks nonstop. I mean NON STOP. Usually about LEGOS. Really? I mean, is there really that much to talk about? Puh-leeze. He is also the one who likes to just sit beside me outside. Sometimes I can even get him to stop talking but that usually takes money. Yeah. I have to pay him to do his schoolwork, too. No, I'm not kidding.
I wish you guys could hear what I am hearing. It is so peaceful. All but the tapping of my laptop's keys. Yes, I am done fishing for the moment and I have moved to the swing. I AM talented enough to type and swing at the same time, though I can rarely walk and talk without stumbling.
Maybe where ever you are-the skies are just as blue today. I hope so, I'd hate for anyone to miss this. God is truly an awesome artist. Wow.

Life changes every day. Sometimes it's just nice to share the "same ole same ole" with others. I'll share stories of everyday life as they come, hurts and all. Hopefully, someone will be inspired along the way.

Long time, no see
Well hello there world. It's been a while since I've kept up with my blogging. I promise I'll do better. There's been so much going on. We moved for one thing. I hate moving. I hate unpacking boxes. I'd rather just ... go take a nap. Hmph. Like that's gonna happen.
Easter is my favorite time of year. Thank God for Easter. Without it, I'd be destined to burn in Hell. How about you? Easter just spells a new beginning, to me. It signals Spring, new life, flowers, little birds chirping, and of course those hollow chocolate bunnies. Mmm! Good stuff! Yes, I bite the ears off first, you know you do, too. Admit it.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday with your families. Blessings to you, and here's hoping for many new beginnings.
